As we all know.... the United States is in dire financial crisis. Budgets must be cut and we all will need to feel the result of that. For people facing crisis, it will be felt the most. Lupus researchers expect federal funding to be cut. There is concern for future research for this disease which affects 1.5 million in the United States and 5 million people world wide. New treatments are emerging but we need continued funding and awareness to keep drug companies and researchers interested in the future of Lupus treatments.
